Radio host, music journalist, club DJ and Academy grad Lorna Clarkson gives us the lowdown on Sydney’s signature sounds. She selected Echo Inspectors & Insect O. – Secret Ambient Mix for July episode of her Scenery Sydney radioshow at Red Bull Music Academy radio.

Lorna Clarkson is a music journalist, as well as a club and radio DJ based in Sydney, Australia, though she has been operating under the radar for much of the 20-plus years of her career. She has held residencies at the likes of Home in Sydney, Mass and 333 in London, and provided tour support for acts like Goldfrapp, Kruder & Dorfmeister and Thievery Corporation, but Clarkson has never felt the need to commercialize her style. Her radio show Top Shelf was nominated for an industry award, and she has guest-presented shows on national broadcaster JJJ while continuing to host her own independent show Under The Influence on community station FBi.

Echo Inspectors & Insect O. – Bourne Dub has been recorded at Echo Inspectors Studio Melbourne in 2013. It has been released on Primary Colours on clear 10″ vinyl incl. a reshape by Silver Ash. The Secret Ambient Mix has been mixed by Insect O. and is a special gift to our fans, available on soundcloud for free download only.
